Payslips

Payslips can be used as proof of your earnings, tax paid and any pension contributions.  Payslips can be either electronic (online) or printed and both are accepted by banks and future employers.

    Payslips show:

    • your earnings before and after any deductions
    • the amount of any deductions that may change each time you’re paid, for example tax and National Insurance
    • the number of hours you worked, if your pay varies depending on time worked

Detailed in the tabs below you will find information on the Payslips process in place within your Board.

    National Services Scotland

Within National Services Scotland the ePayslip service is available on ePayroll. As well as self-service functionality allowing you to view your payroll records, including historical pay details and personal information, you may now receive electronic payslips instead of paper copies. Most employees within NHS Scotland may now receive electronic payslips instead of paper copies.  Within NSS it has been agreed in partnership that all staff with the exception of staff groups who do not have regular access to a PC may now receive electronic payslips.

ePayslips will automatically be available on the Friday before payday for monthly paid staff and every Tuesday for weekly paid staff and can be accessed via the Payroll System

    NHS 24

In January 2020, following an agreement with partnership, NHS 24 will migrate all staff to electronic payslips, or ePayslips.

There are many benefits in this move:

     - Easy secure access to your pay slip

     - full access to your last 12 months pay slips in one location

     - Ability to print and reprint payslips at your convenience

     - Save your payslips in PDF format and store them on your own devices (PC, Laptop, Tablet, Smart Phone, etc.)

Staff affected by this change will be individually contacted, via e-mail with guidance on how to access their ePayslip and be reminded of individual log on details.

There will be a small number of staff who will continue to receive paper payslips, these are employees who are unable to access the NHS internal network e.g. staff seconded out-with the NHS, non executives, staff on maternity leave.  Staff on long term sick leave (over 6 weeks) can call to request a paper payslip during their absence, however they will revert back to an ePayslip upon return to work.

Below you will find information on how to access the system along with FAQs.
